R&B Grinding faces $105930 in fines for OSHA citations
RACINE - R & B Grinding Co. faces up to $ 105 930 in fines after being cited by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration for 24 alleged safety and health violations.
OSHA, part of the U.S. Department of Labor, said R & B has 15 working days of receipt of the citations on June 27 to comply, request an informal meeting with the regional director of the agency or to contest the citations and penalties before the independent security of Labor and Health Review Commission. As of Thursday, they had not responded, according to OSHA.
The agency said the quotes in the R & B, 1900 Clark Street, Result of a surprise inspection last December 28.
Requests for comments from R & B Thursday were not returned.
OSHA said the citations include 16 serious violations of safety with proposed penalties of $ 69 300. They include:
