The two most popular non-musical choices were Under Milk Wood by Dylan Thomas and the infamous Ian Botham "leg" comment cricket and fits of laughter that followed between the cricket commentators Brian Johnston and Jonathan Agnew during the of a test match between England and West Indies in 1991.

Other popular non-musical choices include excerpts from speeches of Winston Churchill, and interviews that have featured on Radio 4 Hour woman.

Last month, Radio 4 announced that Edith Piaf's Je Ne Regrette Rien was the most popular non-classical track to be chosen by castaways during the programme's 59-year history.

Other popular choices included Frank Sinatra's My Way , What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong, and John Lennon's Imagine .
