Volkswagen introduces new Polo Match
A high-value Match trim level replaces the existing Moda and SE in the revamped Volkswagen Polo range.

Volkswagen Polo Match: added valueThe introduction of Match specification seemingly comes to all of Volkswagen’s smaller cars at some point – but since it generally represents good value for money you won’t find us complaining about VW’s lack of originality.
In the case of the latest Polo, Match combines the ‘most popular’ features of the Moda and SE trim lines, while also adding additional specification of its own.
On the outside, standard kit includes 15-inch alloy wheels, front fog lights and ‘heat insulating’ tinted rear windows (and we thought dark glass was just for show). Inside, there’s air conditioning, a trip computer and iPod connectivity, with electric windows and mirrors, plus remote locking as further highlights.

Three engines, four airbags, ESP as standardYou can have the Polo Match in three- and five-door hatchback body styles, and with a choice of three engines.
The 1.2- and 1.4-litre petrols offer 59bhp and 84bhp respectively, with CO2 outputs of 128g/km and 139g/km. The 1.2-litre diesel offers 74bhp and just 102g/km CO2. A five-speed manual gearbox is standard, though the 1.4 petrol is also available with a seven-speed DSG automatic at extra cost (£620).
Electronic stability control is also included. However, the Match comes with just the four standard airbags.

On sale nowPrices start at £11,300 for the 1.2 petrol three-door VW Polo Match, rising to £14,485 for the five-door 1.4 petrol DSG.
This represents a saving of £215 compared to the models it replaces, yet the full fitted equipment list adds £650 in extra value.
